Zadok House of Prayer
ZHOP BUILDING FUND
ZHOP is moving! We find ourselves in an exciting season of transition as we’ve outgrown our current building and are looking for another. We’re regularly filling our prayer room for Encounter God Services and Staff Meetings, and we’ve run out of space to teach and train our interns. With this in mind, and the Lord directing us to move swiftly, we’ve begun to aggressively search for the next location for ZHOP, aiming to transition into our next location by mid-October.
The vision for the ZHOP building fund is not just a means to a new prayer room, but an opportunity for many to get involved in building the Zadok Music and Arts Center! The ZMAC will function in the context of day and night prayer and worship, producing an environment where artisans and musicians can grow in and express their artistic pursuits before the Lord.
As one might imagine, our next facility must be quite large to accommodate our needs and will require a large down payment to purchase. ZHOP is seeking partners stirred with zeal for the Lord’s house to sow finances into this pursuit. Our hope is to see several $5000 donors raised up for this purpose.

FAST OCTOBER 2nd-13th
From October 2nd-13th ZHOP is fasting. The focus of the fast is Psalm 132, we’re asking the Lord to find His dwelling place here with us in Charlotte. We believe that God is worthy of day and night prayer and worship, and that through day and night prayer and worship His name will be made great in the nations. If you would like to, join with us on this fast.
Daily prayer focuses and scripture:
Oct 2-4: Psalm 132:1-5 “A dwelling place for the Mighty one of Jacob”
Pray for day and night prayer in Charlotte and a building for ZHOP.
Oct 5-7: Psalm 132:6-9 “Arise O Lord, to Your resting place”
Pray for a habitation of God, a righteous priesthood in this region, for the new songs of joy to arise.
Oct 8-10: Psalm 132:10-12 “Do not turn away the face of Your anointed”
Pray for hearts of “One thing” (Psalm 27:4), inheritance of Jesus, rebuild the tabernacle of David in our region, provision.
Oct 11-13: Psalm 132:13-18 “For the Lord has chosen Zion”
Pray for the Habitation of God in Israel, return and reign of Jesus.
NEW INTERNSHIPS & TRAINING PROGRAMS
Zadok Exchange Training School (ZETS)
For married couples; the next session will run from January 2007 through April 2007. The Zadok Exchange Training School is an intensive for those who desire to reproduce the ZHOP values unto establishing a day and night priesthood culture of life that is gripped with urgency for the hour we live in. ZETS students will be mentored by the director of ZHOP along with daily classes and prayer room hours. Accepting 1-4 couples for the coming session. This internship will be led by Jonathan and Sara Lepage.
EZ37: ZHOP ENTRY PROGRAM
The EZ37 track will be a 'night school' which will include a regular weekly class as well as participation in the prayer room and attending the Wednesday and Saturday 'Encountering God Services' at ZHOP. It will run from January 2007 through April 2007. We are intent upon releasing those who the Lord is calling to minister to Him, to delight in Him and delight in His word! EZ37 is a reference to Ezekiel chapter 37, the prophesying to the bones to become a great army by the Spirit of the Lord. The emphasis is on cultivating one's life in God and finding one's place in the prayer room. It is an opportunity to grow in prayer and fasting and meditation on the word in a personal and in a corporate context. The EZ37 internship is for anyone over the age of 25, married couples included. This internship will be led by Greg and Caryn Burnett.
Internships
In September the second term of the “Awakened internship” started. Here is a report from the “Awakened Internship” director Jacob Ferrell:
“The Awakened interns are beginning their second month. They stand on the wall at night and have come face to face with their distance from God but have understanding that God’s affections are for them. He has invited them to search out the ocean of His being and learn how to persistently approach the throne of grace.”
There are two new internships that ZHOP is offering starting in January:
The Zadok Exchange Training School(ZETS) which will be led by Jonathan and Sara Lepage.
EZ37- ZHOP entry program which will be led by Greg and Caryn Burnett.

Meditation
We believe that meditation is key for understanding and going deeper in the word.
What we do is we have one verse that we will meditate on for about 3-4 weeks
at a time. We have meetings each week to share what we have received from the
Lord. Right now we are meditating on Psalm 132:1-5
LORD, remember David
And all his afflictions;
How he swore to the LORD,
And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
“Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
I will not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
Until I find a place for the LORD,
A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
Here is some insight from one of our interns Emily Parton:
“David was so provoked for a habitation of God and so unrelenting that he became a reproach, a joke, yet he was unmoved. To know and to step into even a portion of the zeal that David had for the house of the Lord is now one of my greatest desires. If the Lord doesn’t have a house, does anything else really matter?”
Trips
On September 26th-October 6th, a team from 7 Thunders went Karlsruhe ,Germany
to minister at a conference. Here is a report from Katie Bennett, one of the
team members who went on the trip:
"Karlsruhe Germany was wonderful! Kirk took a team and spoke at a Kings and Priests conference. They had the privledge of joining S.J. Hill and Pablo Perez in Germany as well. S.J. Hill shared on the Father's heart and His enjoyment of us. Many hearts were touched in hearing for the first time that God takes pleasure in His friends. Kirk spoke on the Priesthood as well as the urgency of getting the Word written on our hearts. Many were interested in internships at Zhop and will be coming in 2007 to join us for a season.
The team spent the last 3 days of the trip in Hernhut. It was powerful to be
able to see the history of parts of our roots there. We stayed a quick walk away
from Count von Zinzendorf's grave and got a chance to visit Christian David's
grave as well. It was a beautiful place both in the spirit and the natural."

Events
PRIESTHOOD CLASS
When: Friday nights at 9pm
Where: ZHOP
What: Every Friday night for the next year, Kirk will be teaching on the priesthood, covering topics like Melchizedek and Zadok. Katie Bennett and her team lead worship starting at 7pm and the class starts at 9, lasting for about and hour. If you want more understanding on the priesthood of the believer this class is a great place to start.
Who: Those ages 18-25
When: 2007 Term I starting in January 12th (date subject to change)
Where: Located right on the ZHOP Base.
What: The Awakened Internship is a call to young adults to set themselves before the Lord at night (10pm-6am) for 3-6 months. Our heart is to awaken a day and night priesthood culture of life that burns with intimacy and that is equipped with the urgency of the times.
Who: Those ages 18-25.
When: January 6th - June 10th (dates subject to change)
Where: Located right on the ZHOP Base.
What: For ages 18-25. The Zadok Internship is a charge to young adults who will voluntarily set themselves before the Lord to encounter Him and minister to Him unto establishing a day and night priesthood culture of life that is gripped with urgency for the hour we live in.
Who: Married Couples (accepting 1-4 couples at this time)
When: January-April 2007
Where: Located on the ZHOP base.

Prayer Requests
The 7 Thunders staff _ Luke Ahrenholtz, Katie Bennett, Andy and Bek Hickman, Rebekah Myers, Jonathan and Heidi Mills, Isaac and Morgan Bennett and the Zadok House of Prayer team. That the Spirit of grace and supplication would continue in them to pray and prophesy; especially as they are setting themselves in Fort Mill, SC.
Kirk - Pray that he has understanding and revelation on leadership and fathering the next generation
Dee - for increased revelation as she leads the young ones.
Isaac and Morgan - that God gives them grace and strength each day as they lead the 6pm-12pm shift.
Katie - for grace and strength to lead, as she is one of the main worship leaders at ZHOP.
Abby - Increased joy and zeal for God as she moves to a new environment. Something of real power is continuing to happen with our children, and we’re asking for the Spirit to guard and disciple them in it.
The I.H.O.P.s - There are houses of prayer springing up all over the world. We have had the extreme privilege to be friends with an amazing number of them. Pray for ways to keep those friendships available and strategic.
The Night watch - for strength to keep pressing in. The night watch is key to a House of Prayer. We believe that the night belongs to the Lord and we are going to take it back. The main leaders of the night watch are Jake and Lacy Ferrell.
The Bennett’s - Pray for the health and well being of our family
Pray the 22 word Prayer 7 times daily - Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation, God end abortion and send revival to America!
