Zadok House of Prayer
Transition
On Oct 14th ZHOP packed up and moved out of the building that we were in for the last 10 months, unsure where to go, but knowing that the Lord knew what He was doing. We thought that maybe ZHOP would be put on hold for a few weeks until we found a new building, but the Lord had other plans for us. On Tuesday the 17th we set up the prayer room in a 3900 square foot house. We knew that the Lord wanted ZHOP to keep going, even in the midst of transition. The Lord gave us the grace to continue praying so we did.
The Lord showed us His faithfulness and provided the funds to lease part of a shopping center right outside of the Heritage USA property. We will be back on the Heritage property in the future when we can purchase a larger building. We believe we are to redeem the Heritage USA land.
We should be in this new building in the next few weeks. Please continue to pray for ZHOP as we are in transition. If you would like to contribute to the ZHOP building fund please go to www.zhop.org
Update from Kirk Bennett the director of ZHOP and 7thunders
Zadok House of Prayer’s new Season!
This is an update to give you all short, mid and long term plans for the ZHOP (as best as we know at this point) To let you know we put a deposit down to rent a few rooms in a shopping center out on 21 Highway. It will take about 3 weeks to transition our prayer room out to the new little ZHOP Campus.
The ZHOP being in a home as a prayer room still has grace on it but it is difficult for people to find us. This will make it easier.
We plan to be a House of Prayer long term in the Charlotte Metro Area.
We’ll be back on the Heritage Property soon as we grow and gain momentum in the new season! We believe in the redeeming of the land for Godly purpose.
Short term- We have 4 internships that will begin in January. Thus the need for transition to a short term facility now.
-Zadok Internship – 18-25 year olds who train with us for ministry to God and intercession in worship, prayer, and prophecy intensives
-Awakened Internship – 18-25 year olds (same as above but they are in the prayer room from 12 midnight to 6 am)
-EZ 37 (for Ezekiel 37) – This will be for 25 and ‘overs’ to be empowered in an internship
-Zadok Exchange Training School- A mentoring program for 7 young couples to be empowered in the ZHOP values and day to day leadership of a House of Prayer
Our mid term goal is the Z.M.A.C. Zadok House of Prayer Music and Arts Center. A place (larger facility and campus) where the young and old can come and encounter God and grow in prophetic music arts dance and release the creative power of the God into a culture. We will continue to be vigilant for God to have a Day and Night priesthood Culture of Life in our City. By the grace of God the ZHOP prayer room will continue to be open Day and Night.
Our long term goal is to see a City of Refuge emerge in this geography that is committed to God’s glory and presence coming down and remaining on the land.
Blessings to you
Kirk & Dee Bennett
Internships
On November 16th the “Awakened” interns will graduate. The Awakened interns
set themselves in the night from midnight-6am to minister to the Lord and cry
out in intercession to Him.
The next term of The Awakened Internship will start on January 12th. For more
information see the events section below or go to www.zhop.org
The Zadok Internship will be changing for this next year. The internship will be split up into the three daytime shifts that we have here at ZHOP (6am-noon, noon-6pm, and 6pm-Midnight). The internship will be lead by five couples instead of just two. For more information on this internship see the events section below or go to www.zhop.org.
Meditation
We believe that meditation is key for understanding and going deeper in the word.
What we do is we have one verse that we will meditate on for about 3-4 weeks
at a time. We have meetings each week to share what we have received from the
Lord. Right now we are meditating on John 17:24
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world."
Here is some insight from one of our interns Ben Coleman:
“In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus is crying out to His Father for His Bride to be with Him where He is. This is the desire that pushes Him to the cross, that allowed him be able to endure the pain and agony on that day. This jealous groan to the Father pushes blood through his pores and I believe the thoughts of having his children with Him where He is, is what kept him on the cross. That one day we could be yoked to his heart, co laboring with the Son of God in making the will of the Creator manifested on the Earth. This desire becomes a reality in Revelation 5:9 when heaven sings a new song about how we have been made a kingdom of priests to our God. This is the fulfillment of the jealous groan of the Son of God, when we are with Him where He is, and worshiping him in spirit and truth.”
Trips
On October 18th-25th, a team from 7 Thunders ministered in Fort Wayne and Elkhart, Indiana.
Here is a report from Bri Nichols, one of the
team members who went on the trip:
“The Indiana trip was outstanding. It was wonderful to visit some fellow IHOPs. We went to the house of prayer in Fort Wayne and the Michiana House of Prayer in Elkhart. They were encouraged and we were encouraged as well. It’s odd… here in Fort Mill we labor for God’s presence and it feels so barren; yet when visitors from other houses of prayer come they tell us how phenomenal it is in our little prayer room. The same happened in Indiana, they contend for encounter with the Lord in their own place of prayer, and I got to soak in what they’ve been contending for. It was refreshing. Be encouraged, prayer works! As subtle as it may seem at times, the prayers of the saints are being heard and transformation is coming.”
Upcoming Trips:
- November 10-12 – Atlanta, Georgia
- January 6-7 – Greensboro, North Carolina
- January 26-28- Atlanta, Georgia(leadership conference)
