Zadok House of Prayer

We Have a Building!

The Lord has shown favor on ZHOP and we have signed a lease on a building! The building was formerly used for a Christian school run by Morningstar Ministries. They graciously let us use the building for our EGS services in December and during their winter vacation. They moved out in the beginning of January and we moved in. The Lord's timing and leadership is perfect. He is good!

On January 12th, Mike Bickle spoke at ZHOP. He encouraged us to not give up and keep going even through hardships. He called us to remember the pull and yearning we first felt when we joined ZHOP and to re-ignite that flame inside of our heart. It really encouraged all of the staff at ZHOP and many recommitted to their call before the Lord.

Also on Jan 12th-14th we hosted a reunion for all the youth that were a part of our Camp David internship this past summer, to read more about that see the internships section below.

Internships
On January 14th, 20 interns came to be a part of ZHOP's EZ37 internship. This internship is for those ages 25 and up, married or single).
Here is an update on the internship from it's director Greg Burnett:

"The EZ37 internship has started out strong. We've completed a harp and bowl clinic and have taught on meditation on the scriptures so that our newcomers can be in the prayer room, understand the flow of intercession sets better, and set themselves before the Lord in pursuit of Him. Already the response is that they are better focused and are using their time in the prayer room effectively as they engage the Lord."

On Jan 12th-14th ZHOP held a reunion for the youth that were here for the Camp David youth internship in July. 20 or the 28 interns that were here for the summer returned for the weekend. It was great to have all of them back in the prayer room and great to see how they have grown in the Lord the 6months they were at home. Camp David will be held July 9th-31st of this year. For more information see the events section below.

Meditation

We believe that meditation is key for understanding and going deeper in the word. What we do is we have one verse that we will meditate on for about 3-4 weeks at a time. Right now we are meditating on Psalm 27:4

"One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple."

Here is some insight from one of our staff members Luke Ahrenholtz:

"I am realizing that I am more like Martha than Mary most of the time (Luke 10). I don't really see the value of just sitting at Jesus' feet, like Mary did or of dwelling in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, like David. Like the priests in Malachi 1:13 my hearts says of day and night prayer, "Oh, what a weariness!" And I feel the Holy Spirit saying to me what Jesus said to Martha, "You are worried and troubled about many things, but only one thing is needed, [so come and sit at my feet]". The Lord is revealing my lack of desire for Him through this verse and making me jealous to behold the Lord's beauty. I want to be like Mary who found her place at the Lord's feet and of whom He said, "This shall not be taken away from her." The Lord just wants friends who will sit at His feet, gaze up at Him and let Him delight in them. He doesn't need our service or our fleshly efforts to please Him; He is God and I am man, what can I give to Him anyway? I want to be a mature bride who in Song of Solomon came up from the wilderness leaning on her Beloved; no striving, just resting in His strength and fully in love with Him.

Lord, set my eyes on You and You alone. Give me one desire, to dwell in your house all the days of my life, to behold your beauty and to inquire in your temple. This is the place of highest privilege!.”

Trips

On December 14th-17th a team from 7thunders and ZHOP ministered in West Virginia. Here is an update from one of the team members, Kenny Reed:

"A team of about ten of us, led by Kirk and Dee went to West Virginia to minister at various houses of prayer, churches, an internet radio station and even a TV station. We ministered through the word, through prayer, worship, and both personal and corporate prophecy.

What I was most excited about looking back at the trip was one night when a gentleman at the church we were at, brought me a young man who was there that night during worship and told me that he wanted to get saved! So right there we prayed with him and he received Christ into his life. That to me makes it worth it, when God uses us to redeem another soul, just like He did for us."
