What Did You Say?
 |
“In so many places around the world there is this feeling on the church—blood-bought believers who have been brought into the presence of God—that they are not worthy. This feeling, ‘You’re unworthy, you’re unworthy, you’re unworthy’ is put on them. We are working constantly to get the lies off of people who are saved….When people are stumbling, we’ve got to look at them and say, ‘Remember:
You are not a sinner trying to love God, you are a lover of God struggling with
sin. You identity is in your relationship with God and this is how He sees you. You are the beauty of God demonstrated in the earth right now” …That’s what God’s evaluation of your life is.’

Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going
2003 was a year of constant movement for 7 Thunders, the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, and the Bennett family as well. IHOP-KC moved to its new location, the Bennett family moved to a home closer to IHOP-KC, and the 7 Thunders teams’ travels took us from Wellington, New Zealand to Jeffery’s Bay, South Africa, and many places in between. If yours was one of the cities or countries where we ministered, we hope you know how we loved being with you and ministering the heart of the Lord to you as individuals, as congregations, and as people groups. May the Lord release you all to pray and prophesy as you give your hearts to Him in worship at His throne!
We began 2003 by going to Indianapolis, and we ended the year in Chicago, encouraging and ministering to the House of Prayer there called The Furnace. As much as we have traveled this past year, 7 Thunders is in a place now of setting a schedule for more travel in 2004. We have opportunities to minister in a variety of different places, and we’re calling for the wisdom of the Lord to know where and when to go. When you think of us, would you please pray for that the Lord would continue to reveal His pleasure to us in this area?

Some Exciting Stuff
We’re traveling and we’re living off of jet lag a lot, but we are excited about a couple of projects going on. Kirk has some new teachings available (see Start Your New Year Right), and a few new faces have joined the 7 Thunders staff to join in pursuit of God. We are also making considerable progress in what Kirk has termed The Contemplative Cave. (To you and me that’s the garage in back of the Bennett’s home that is being remodeled to house the 7 Thunders offices and meeting rooms.) The upstairs of this building is designated the ‘family altar’, and is being used as a youth prayer room where young people are gathering and crying out for revival in the land!.
We are still in need of $5,000 to finish this project, so if you feel led to help out, please consider donating materials we need, skilled labor (if you live locally) or a monetary donation. Of course, your prayers are highly coveted.
Katie and Sarah have been seen wielding their paintbrushes, and it is one scary sight! :-)
A Note to Our Supporters
We love our supporters! Thanks to all of you who support 7 Thunders with real prayers and gifts. So many times this year funds came in at strategic times. Because of you and your families, we have been able to travel to many cities, calling people into holy fascination, produce a fantastic CD, “Realm”, that has impacted thousands, create an encounter arena in people’s understanding, and call a generation into a lifestyle of worship, prayer and prophecy. We put a team of 18 in South Africa, most of whom had no money on their own to be able to go. All because of you! Thank you, and may God bless you as you have blessed us!
Start Your New Year Right
I want to highlight 2 products we have produced that are already blessing individuals, families, work environments and churches.
 |
The first is our CD titled “Realm”. This CD, like no other that we’ve heard of, is drawing people into life change experience. When Kirk and the Team, were recording this CD, there were several ‘God moments’ when the presence of the Lord was in the room in a tangible way. At one point at the end of track 8, those of you who have heard it will know, the Spirit of the Lord put holy fear in the room, and even the sound engineer was weeping. We’re excited to say that this CD is touching people in other nations as well as places of work in the US. One man said ‘I’m playing this CD at work with believers and people who have not yet met Jesus. They are all being touched!’ The Realm sells for $16, but there is a special price on this CD on the internet when you purchase other product.

The second is a brand new teaching course called “The Prophetic Seer”. This course comes in 3 Modules with 3 CDs in each module with a bonus testimony CD in the 3rd module. This class, taught in the fall of 2003, has opened many eyes to the reality of a prophetic spirit in a realm of interaction. If you have a desire for more than the basics in the area of revelation, you will want this course! The modules cost $25 apiece, or you can buy all three modules for $60. Thought for the New Year
As I sit in the I.H.O.P. right now with a devotional 2 hour team ministering to God, I’m pondering how much God enjoys people. Recently a friend of mine told me that she heard from God that His favorite sound is the human voice. This year, I’ve been pondering passages like that:
“Rejoice in the Lord oh you righteous for praise from the upright is beautiful”.
Psalm 33:1
I was thinking ‘that’s not just David’s opinion of praise, but God’s joy over praise’. He loves it when you sing a song!
Then in the Song of Songs, Jesus says to us:
You who dwell in the gardens, The companions listen for your voice — Let me hear it! Song of Solomon 8:13
Wow!! He is saying everyone wants to hear your message but let me hear it. Oh, the joy of His jealous love for me being with and talking to Him! Whether you say it or sing it, play it or write it, pray it or shout it, cry it or laugh it, pray it or proclaim it, Jesus says this about your voice:
"O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff,
Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely."
Song of Solomon 2:14
As this New Year begins, may you find the joy of Jesus as He is enjoying your voice!
Highlights and Challenges
• An Explosion of development in the area of the prophecy division of I.H.O.P. From prophecy teams (2003) to an army of lovesick worshipping warriors (2004)! Kirk and the team will be developing several teams within the prophecy division of the prophecy and healing department of I.H.O.P. There will be dream teams, training and equipping in new areas of prophecy, 2-3 new prophetic seminars at I.H.O.P., personal prophetic equipping tracks, travel teams, prophetic outreaches and more. All of these through worship, prayer, fasting, and meditation, will be integrated into a radical lifestyle of abandonment to the Lord Jesus.
• Hearing God Weekend Seminars. A new initiative to open revelation understanding to the body of Christ (targeting especially the mid-west). We’ll be taking teams throughout the nation(s) to open up a new paradigm and release more and more people into a revelatory lifestyle.
• Prayer Needs:
- Kirk’s Dad – needs healing from cancer, diabetes, heart disease, tremors, and stroke symptoms.
- Dee’s parents’ church - for a powerful breakthrough of the Holy Spirit and the love of God.
- The Cave – The offices for 7 Thunders need to be completed ASAP. This will give Kirk and others the opportunity to write and develop strategy for 7 Thunders and store product, while they keep a vigil before the Lord.
- Dee – she’s increasing in revelation and authority. Pray for increased grace and understanding as she encounters God more and more.
- Isaac, Katie, and Abby – Increased joy and zeal for God. Something of real power is continuing to happen with our children, and we’re asking for the Spirit to guard and disciple them in it.
- Kirk - The grace to write a book. Grace to press into a more and more radical ‘ministry to the Lord’ time.
- The 7 Thunders staff - Jonathan Mills, Ashley and Alicia Kershner, Rachel Myers, Daniel and Levi Lim, Shannon Lowry, and others being added, that the Spirit of Grace and supplication would continue in them to pray and prophesy.
- The I.H.O.P.s – There are houses of prayer springing up all over the world. We have had the extreme privilege to be friends with an amazing number of them. Pray for ways to keep those friendships alive, viable, and strategic.
- The Bennetts - Pray for the health and well-being of our family, our finances, and understanding in our lives!
